New year, New you

New Year is the time we all make resolutions, this year why not make a resolution to join us on a Sunday at one of our services, there is our lovely quiet said service at 8.00am, or our lovely sung service at 9.30am which is our traditional communion service, or perhaps more lively all age service, Mikes Praise Together at 11.00am. Whichever service you come to a warm welcome awaits you, along with the chance to make new friends and get to know more about God in todays society and world. We all know what a busy time Christmas is, but this Christmas why not make time to come to church and enjoy some peace and hear the Christmas story in a calm and queit way? Our Christmas services are listed below and everyone is welcome to any of them. Come and help us put Christ back into Christmas this year. We look forward to seeing you.

What a week!

This week Derek and Anne have been busy with schools work, and we have welcomed into church the whole of Gilbertstone School, both the morning and afternoon sessions from Harvey Road Pre-School and also had a special visit from four classes at Yardley Primary School.. It has been a real provelage to see so many children and parents in the church and we look forward to continuing our schools links in the new year.

St Michaels Messenger

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new newspaper St Michaels Messenger this Christmas, with a big thank you to Faith Smith for co-ordinating this. Please ensure you have a copy of it each month, and please submit any articles to Faith. We will endeavour to re-produce most of the articles on this site as well.

Advent Bible Study

This Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in the vicarage, we will begin our Advent Bible Study, this year we are focussing on the book Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. The bible study is open to everyone and we hope, taking up the theme of todays sermon, that as many of our church members as possible will join us as we journey together through advent with excitement and eagernerness. For more details and a copy of the book please see Derek. This bible study is also open to those who are not regular members of the church who would like to join us, please do come along for a couple of hours of thought provoking discussion over tea and cake.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Our Chirstmas Fair is this Friday from 3pm to 7pm, why not come along, bring the kids to see The best Father Christmas in Birmingham and be treated to some wonderful music from the Inn Crowd Singers over some wonderful refreshments, grab a prize draw ticket and help us make this event another wonderful success.
